Porter Enterprises, an on-demand platform for delivery, and Zypp Electric, a D2C EV brand, have entered into a partnership. The tie-up will work on providing reliable logistics solutions.
Twelve months ago, Porter Enterprise welcomed Zypp Electric aboard to revolutionise its logistics solutions. Aligned with its green initiatives, Zypp was resolute in enhancing operational efficiency and minimising logistical hassles, according to a company statement.
Utilising its extensive presence across 20+ cities in India and its technology-driven enterprise solutions, Porter Enterprise has optimised logistics, ensuring reliability and convenience for Zypp. The implementation of a 15-minute window for faulty vehicle pickups has notably reduced operational delays.
Tushar Mehta, Co-Founder and COO, Zypp Electric, said, “With its presence across 20 cities, the Porter Enterprise partnership has contributed significantly to our pan-India expansion.”
Phaneesh Prakash, General Manager, Porter Enterprise, said, “True to our promise, we want to bring ease and reliability to all brands out there looking to efficiently operate their logistics. Thanks to the entire team at Zypp for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to add value to the logistics ecosystem.”
In April 2023, Zypp Electric mentioned that it would give out one lakh electric scooters in collaboration with Zomato by 2024. Overall, there has been a focus on sustainability-focused deliveries. Many delivery platforms, including Swiggy, Zomato, and Amazon, are shifting to EVs. For example, by 2025, Big Basket intends to transition to 90 per cent EVs. Amazon, too, intends to have 10,000 EVs by 2025. Further, in 2023, India witnessed a 50 percent surge in EV sales from the previous year, as per CareEdge. The sale was 1.53 million in 2023 (it was 1.02 million in 2022).
