Health and wellness start-up Hoop has received an investment from ace Indian shuttler and 2-time Olympic medalist, P V Sindhu. The amount of the equity investment is undisclosed.

Health and wellness start-up Hoop has received an investment from ace Indian shuttler and 2-time Olympic medalist, P V Sindhu. The amount of the equity investment is undisclosed.
Along with the investment, the start-up has also onboarded her as the face of the brand as the brand ambassador for all digital and marketing campaigns of the start-up.
Speaking to Outlook Business, co-founder Twinkle Uppal shared that the brand launched nine months back in October 2023 and since then it has delivered over 50,000 products to 1,000 pin codes in India.
“We have been one of the top sellers in Amazon in wellness category. It has given us great confidence to now move ahead of our primary online selling e-commerce channels and expand to quick commerce and e-pharmas. We are also planning to come up with new products in the pain relief and recovery category,” she said adding that the brand is also working on building a community of fitness enthusiasts as a broader wellness offering.
She also stated that going forward the company will use the funds to increase their online and offline presence with Sindhu as the face of the brand and also indicated that the company in is talks with investors for major business developments that will unfold this year.
Founded by Twinkle Uppal and Saharsh Agarwal in 2023, Hoop which targets the millennials was one of the 12 start-ups to get funding under Sequoia Spark Fellowship’s 2nd cohort which included, a $100,000 equity-free grant and mentorship programme.
Twinkle also shared that the start-up received an angel funding just after the Sequoia fellowship and is backed by angel investors like CEO of Swiggy’s Food Marketplace Rohit Kapoor, Oyo’s COO Abhinav Sinha, Good Glam Group’s co-founded Naiyya Saggi, Bombay Shaving Company’s founder Shantanu Deshpande etc.
The investment from P V Sindhu comes days after she invested an undisclosed amount in agritech start-up Greenday, and also became its brand ambassador.
