Meesho, Physics Wallah, Razorpay, Mamaearth Founders in Hurun's Under 35 List

Hurun India in the first edition of the Under35s list recognises 150 entrepreneurs with a minimum business valuation of $50 million

Hurun India has released the first edition of the India Under35s list that features 150 young Indian entrepreneurs. The list was topped by Sharechat’s co-founder, Ankush Sachdeva, followed by Neetish Sarda, Akshit Jain, Chaitanya Rathi and Jay Vijay Shirke. Billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani and son Aakash Ambani occupied the 31st and 32nd positions in the list, respectively.

“The 2024 Hurun India Under 35s highlights 150 outstanding entrepreneurs under 35, recognising those with a minimum business valuation of USD 50 million for next-gen leaders,” said the release. 

The list was dominated by 21 entrepreneurs from financial services, followed by the software and services sector. Bengaluru with 29 and Mumbai with 26 entrepreneurs are the cities with the most representation.

Razorpay founder Harshil Mathur (33) stood at 58th position. Aravind Sanka of bike taxi provider Rapido made it to the Under35s. Rapido in just a few years has revolutionised intra-city travel and has made last-mile connectivity affordable for all. 

Changing the landscape of education Unacademy’s Hemesh Singh and Roman Saini and Physics Wallah’s Alakh Pandey made it to the list. The Edtech unicorn Physics Wallah has recently announced that it is likely to go for listing in 2025. 

Deepit Purkayastha (33) of the news app Inshorts ranked 54th in the list. Inshorts was founded in 2015 by three IIT dropouts and is famous for its news, infographics and blog posts in a 60-word summary.

The online marketplace Meesho’s CEO Vidit Aatrey (34) and Sanjeev Barnwal stood at 78th and 115th position. Meesho facilitates trade between suppliers, resellers and customers. 

Mamaearth founder Ghazal Alagh made it to the Under35s list. Mamaearth is a startup that offers a wide range of natural and toxin-free cosmetic products. Additionally, the startup has become a publicly listed company. 

Apart from Alagh, the list named six other women who’ve paved their way to success alongside creating social impact. Saloni Anand (34) through her company, Traya Health, has tried to provide unique solutions to hair care concerns.
