Nvidia, the US-based graphics chip company, has started supplying its latest chip models to its Indian partners to help build AI-cloud infrastructure in the country as per media reports.
GH200 chip is an advanced computing architecture designed by Nvidia for AI, for high-performance computing and data analytics. It is named after the pioneering computer scientist Grace Hopper.

The development comes after Nvidia struck a deal with its Indian partners such as Reliance and Tata Group in September to create AI-powered supercomputers, AI clouds and generative AI applications.
Moneycontrol reported that Nvidia’s Managing Director for South Asia, Vishal Dhupar stated that the company is delivering its latest chips, GH200 for Indian partners such as Tata Communications and the Jio platform. This news was confirmed by AS Lakshmiarayanan, MD and CEO of Tata Communications stating that the company had received chips from a US-based company.

Media reports state that Nvidia and its partners are also tapping India's creator economy — YouTubers, gamers, etc — with its advanced graphic processing unit (GPU) chips. It offers its GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs and provides validated Studio PCs through its system builder partners to the creators.
What makes the Nvidia products much sought after is that they are essential for developing Large Language Models (LLM) and building apps such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
