SuperKalam, an AI-led personal mentor for students preparing for competitive exams, has concluded a seed funding round, raising $2 million. The funding round was led by YCombinator and Fundersclub, with participation from notable investors, including YC Partner Puneet Kumar, GoodWater Capital, Nurture Ventures, SuperCapital, and Pareto Ventures, among others, who joined hands to back SuperKalam's vision.
The secured funding will be utilised to enrich SuperKalam's AI-led educational platform, expand its reach, enhance the user experience, and foster continuous innovation in personalised learning services.
Founded in July 2023 by Vimal Singh Rathore and Aseem Gupta, SuperKalam aims to revolutionise education by leveraging artificial intelligence to provide personalised guidance and support for competitive exams. This is the second edtech start-up by cofounder Vimal, following Coursavy, which was acquired by Unacademy in September 2020.

To check progress made by students, the edtech platform prepares study plans and sets daily targets depending on the progress made by the students. The company says that they want to scale this approach and reach out to the 5 million students in the country who are starting with their civil service examination preparation.
