The Titan Company announced on Tuesday, 21 November, that it intends to hire around 3,000 workers in order to reach its five-year goal of becoming a Rs 1 lakh crore company.
Hiring will take place across a variety of industries, including digital, luxury, engineering, design, data analytics, marketing, and sales.
Additionally, it intends to expand the proportion of staff members in engineering roles by 50 per cent over the next two to three years, in keeping with its emphasis on innovation and technology. It will also actively seek out experts with specialist expertise in digital marketing, product management, cyber security, data analytics, and other cutting-edge fields.
By developing deep expertise through a build, borrow, and purchase strategy, Titan is also expanding its entry into the premium and luxury markets.
Titan's luxury segment will receive a lot of attention from the firm, even as it continues to grow its range of products spanning Tanishq, Mia, Fastrack, Sonata, Eyeplus, Taneira, Skinn, and Caratlane in both the domestic and foreign markets.
Additionally, it plans to grow its global workforce by 10 per cent over the next five years and aggressively expand its presence in North America and the Middle East. It will concentrate particularly on the GCC market, where it anticipates creating 150–200 new jobs in the next two to three years.
It will continue to hire talent from campuses concurrently, and it is anticipated that this will account for 15–18 per cent of all hiring annually, guaranteeing a consistent flow of bright young things.
Titan has recently announced the women-focused return-ship programme Sequal, which will upskill women and offer re-entry support, as part of their alignment of synergies to upskill and facilitate the re-entry of women into the workforce.
Titan Company is a collaboration between the Tata Group and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO).
