In an effort to change the social media giant Twitter, billionaire Elon Musk has now made a significant announcement with regards to the subscription revenue. As per the Tesla CEO, Twitter would not claim any subscription revenue for the first 12 months.
According to an official tweet by Elon Musk, the social media giant is dedicated to support the efforts and work of content creators. Along the same lines, Musk’s Twitter has decided not to claim any of this subscription revenue.
Emphasising on the same, Elon Musk has also added that regardless of the amount of revenue, even after 12 months, Twitter would only keep about 10 per cent of the subscription revenue earned.
“Your support of content creators on this platform is very much appreciated. We keep none of the subscription revenue for the first 12 months & only 10% thereafter,” Elon Musk tweeted.
Twitter’s subscription services are the new thing that the Elon Musk-led platform has been promoting. Apart from releasing a host of features, especially to support content creators, Twitter’s subscription feature is also expected to be a game-changer, as per some experts.
Recently, Twitter also reportedly admitted to a security breach by accepting that at a point in time, some tweets that were meant for the private Circle, were also visible to others. By sending an email to the affected users, Twitter reportedly confirmed the same.
