Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, Wipro, JSW Steel, Infosys were the top gainers and Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, and UltraTech Cement were among the laggard on the BSE.
Shares of Bombay Dyeing Limited jumped 20 per cent in early trade on Thursday after the company said it will be monetizing its 22 acre land parcel in Worli to Goisu Realty Pvt Ltd. The transaction will be completed in two phases for a total consideration of Rs 5,200 crore. In the first phase, the company will receive Rs 4,675 crore and the remaining amount will be received after completion of certain conditions as set out in the definitive agreement.
