Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma, TCS, and Infosys were among the top gainers, while losers were NTPC, Tata Motors, Power Grid, Hindustan Unilever and Maruti Suzuki.

The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices fell nearly 3 per cent each on 12 September as investors run to book profits. At 12.20 PM, the BSE Midcap fell 897.02 points or 2.71 per cent to 32,172.53, while BSE SmallCap fell 1,245.79 or 3.23% to 37,291. So far this year, both indices have surged around 27 per cent this year and gained around 45 per cent since April.
