The rally came after US markets reacted positively to Nvidia's earnings. Vinod Nair, Head of Research at Geojit Financial Services, said, "The domestic market staged a recovery from the day’s low, buoyed by positive PMI data from the Eurozone and an impressive earnings report from US tech stocks. The broader market showed resilience as India’s economic activity continued to expand in February, with both service and manufacturing PMI improving."
Tech giants' earnings momentum has helped global markets this year. Ahead of the trading session today, here are the stocks to watch.
1) IRCTC: The company has signed a pact with Swiggy to deliver pre ordered food at 4 railway stations. Its shares gained 1.32 per cent on Thursday to close at Rs 938.
2) Vodafone Idea: The board of the company will meet on February 27 to discuss plans to raise resources. Its shares jumped by 6.51 per cent to Rs 16.35 on Thursday.
3) Bajaj Auto: The company has raised its stake in Yulu Bikes by investing Rs 45.75 crore. Its shares gained 3.43 per cent to close at Rs 8,515 on Thursday.
4) Bank of Baroda: The bank raised Rs 2,500 crore via Tier 2 bond at a coupon rate of 7.57 per cent. Its shares closed at Rs 275.55 after gaining 0.16 per cent on Thursday.
5) Sona Comstar: The auto component maker informed it has received the approval under PLI scheme. Its shares closed at Rs 612.80 after gaining 0.08 per cent on Thursday.
