Apple Releases iOS 17.1.1, watchOS 10.1.1 Updates, Fixes Bugs

Apple has begun delivering iOS 17.1.1 to compatible iPhone models, which includes significant issue fixes for NFC and Apple Pay on the newly released iPhone 15 series of smartphones.

Prior reports stated that after being charged wirelessly in some cars, these phones experienced problems. A problem with the lock screen weather widget is also resolved with the update. With the most recent watchOS 10.1.1 update, the Cupertino-based company has also resolved a problem that was causing Apple Watch batteries to discharge rapidly.

Apple has addressed a flaw that affected the NFC capability of the iPhone 15 series, which includes the iPhone 15, iPhone Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, according to the release notes for the iOS 17.1.1 update.

Apple Pay and a few other NFC capabilities would not work on the phones following wireless charging in some autos, the company claims.

Along with iOS 17.1.1, Apple is also releasing iPadOS 17.1.1. Both versions include with a fix lock for the screen widget, which led to incorrect snow display. Although the business is testing iPadOS 17.2 and iOS 17.2, these software changes are probably not going to be made public until the following month.

Two weeks after the company unveiled support for NameDrop on the wristwatch and a new Double Tap gesture exclusive to the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, watchOS 10.1.1 is also available for compatible Apple Watch models.
