The government has raised rates for commercial LPG cylinders, resulting in an immediate increase of Rs 21 per cylinder
On Friday, December 1, public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs) implemented a revision in the pricing of commercial LPG gas cylinders, marking an increase of Rs 21 per cylinder. This adjustment took immediate effect, impacting the costs associated with commercial LPG consumption.
There was no modification in the pricing of domestic LPG, specifically designed for household kitchens and utilized for cooking purposes. The cost of domestic LPG cylinders remained steady at Rs 903.
As of August 30, the pricing of non-subsidized domestic LPG cylinders experienced its last adjustment, witnessing a decrease in Delhi from Rs 1,103.
Following a Rs 100 increase on November 1, there was a subsequent reduction of Rs 57 on November 16 in the LPG prices.
The retail sales price for a 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinder reached Rs 1,796.5 in New Delhi and Rs 1,749 in Mumbai.
In addition to the changes in LPG cylinder prices, there was a second consecutive reduction of 4.6 per cent in jet fuel or ATF rates within a month. The price of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) in Delhi saw a decrease from Rs 1.11 lakh per kilolitre to Rs 1.06 lakh per kilolitre.
Every month, on the first day, State-backed Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) like Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) modify the prices of cooking gas and jet fuel. This adjustment is based on the average international oil price from the prior month.
