Elon Musk Responds to TIME's To-Do List: Here's What He Said On His Space Ambitions

"History is strewn with the wreckage of kingmakers who went to war against the leaders they installed," TIME said

Recently, the TIME magazine has published the to-do list for Tesla CEO Elon Musk as the 53-year-old tech billionaire yet again made headlines with his recent involvement in the United States politics.

On its photo illustration, Time magazine crossed many points from Musk's to-do list including 'BECOME RICHEST MAN', 'GET TRUMP ELECTED', 'BUY TWITTER' and 'IMPLANT HUMAN BRAIN CHIP'. There are other goals like 'SLASH $2 TRILLION' and 'FLY TO MARS' which are yet to get crossed.

The article delved into how the US political landscape would be shaped as its collective destiny gets into the hold of one more person other than what the Republican ticket had mentioned.

"Markets soar and tumble on his tweets. Astronauts fly in his spaceships. Armies advance with the signals from his satellites. Conspiracy theories go mainstream through his embrace," read a part of the article authored by Simon Shuster.

"But it was only in the spotlight of these elections that the full extent of his influence came into view," it added.

The article also discussed what look like a partnership right now between Musk and Trump, "bonded through the favors they are trading and their shared desire to disrupt the institutions of government," may also face turbulence as they disagree on some of their agendas. It noted that if it comes to a point where they both will clash then Trump will definitely have an upper-hand over Musk.

How Musk Responded?

Musk, however, clarified that this is not his actual checklist. In fact, he had not appeared for any interview either.

"I am trying to make life multiplanetary to maximize the probable lifespan of consciousness. Some of the items below are needed for that," Musk posted on X responding to a tweet related to the photo illustration of the article.

What Musk Wants?

The Tesla ceo's wealth witnessed a spike of $50 billion right after the election week. According to Time, his value currently stands at more than $320 billion, as investors are rushing for Tesla shares. However, the article stated that Musk's plan has never been to make money. It also cited people close to Musk and said that his ultimate goal has not changed since he launched SpaceX, his rocket company, in 2002.

“He’s just realizing that being in control, directly or indirectly, of U.S. government budgets, is going to put us on Mars in his lifetime. Doing it privately would be slower,” TIME quoted a person close to Musk's social circle.
