Stocks are slipping Wednesday after the Federal Reserve announced its latest hike to interest rates, while also saying it may not tighten the screws much more on the economy and Wall Street. The S&P 500 was 0.4 per cent lower in afternoon trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up down 181 points, or 0.6 per cent, at 32,378, as of 3:06 p.m. Eastern time, while the Nasdaq composite was 0.2 per cent lower. All three indexes were close to flat before the announcement.
