Vibrant Gujarat Summit: Futuristic Technologies, Semiconductors And Green Energy Among India's Biggest Priorities, Says PM Narendra Modi

In the audience, guests from over 30 partner countries and industry leaders from several sectors were present

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that development of futuristic technologies such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors and renewable energy capacity are among India's biggest priorities in the years to come. Along with these, the prime minister asserted that manufacturing and infrastructure development remain a key focus area for his government.

Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit, PM Modi said, "India is working on targets for the next 25 years. When India will celebrate its 100th anniversary as an independent nation in 2047, it would have achieved the status of a developed nation."

In the audience, guests from over 30 partner countries and industry leaders from several sectors were present. Earlier, Adani Group chairperson Gautam Adani, Reliance Industries chairperson Mukesh Ambani and Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran had addressed the gathering.

During his address, the Prime Minister asked investors present at the summit to utilise the opportunities presented by the country and believe in Gujarat as the gateway to future.

"As it is the first summit being held in India's Amrit Kaal, the importance of summit has increased," PM Modi said.

Prime Minister Modi was addressing the 10th edition of the global investors summit, which was conceptualised by him during his tenure as the chief minister of Gujarat.

Yesterday, PM Modi had arrived in Gujarat for a two day visit where he inaugurated the global trade show as part of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. He also held meetings with several global leaders, including Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, President of Timor Leste José Ramos-Horta and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Vibrant Gujarat Summit is being held in Mahatma Mandir complex in Gandhinagar, Gujarat's capital. The theme of the summit has been set as "Gateway of future" to focus on new emerging technologies such as semiconductors.
