Market Updates: Opening at bunce for Sensex and Nifty

Both the benchmark indices are back to gaining and have secured 10.25 points and 8.60 points, respectively

The trading session opened today with a fresh start on gaining terms for both the benchmark indices. The Sensex rallied by 10.25 points or 0.03 per cent to stand at 35,610.07 and the Nifty by 8.60 points or 0.08 per cent to stand at 10,816.65.

As of now, the BSE shows Dr. Reddy's Labs, Sun Pharma, Infosys, Reliance and Tata Steel at the apex level whereas NTPC, ONGC, Yes Bank, Adani Ports and SBI at low levels, after the first hours of trading.

In the initial two hours of market opening, the NSE unveiled Dr. Reddy’s Labs, Cipla, UPL, Sun Pharma and Lupin as the top gainers while HPCL, NTPC, IOC, Bharti Aitel, and ONGC were the major losers.

With the surging start of the market, the commodities sector is also in the ruling area in which gold is clinching Rs. 7 or 0.02 per cent standing at Rs. 31,384 per 10 grams and Brent Crude rose by Rs. 28 or 0.62 per cent and stands at Rs. 4,545 per bbl.

However, the banking sector was going down where HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, and SBI were losing 2.15 points or 0.15 per cent, 4.20 points or 0.79 per cent and 1.70 points or 0.60 per cent, respectively. Only ICICI Bank was on gaining terms, rallying by 0.80 points or 0.28 per cent.

The starting of today’s trading session saw the Indian Rupees leading by 0.355 paise or 0.53 per cent over the US Dollar to stand at Rs. 67.9750.
