Both the benchmark indices are gaining as the Sensex is up by 133.65 points and the Nifty by 34 points

Today the market has opened on a high note as the S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 133.65 points or 0.67 per cent higher while the Nifty is up by 34 points or 0.34 per cent.

The gaining momentum on the BSE’s indices is established by Dr. Reddy’s Labs, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, TCS and SBI as the top gainers while ONGC, Tata Steel, HUL, HDFC and Bharti Airtel are on a losing ground.

 At the time of writing this, Dr. Reddy’s Labs, Cipla, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma and Lupin were on a gaining spree while Idea cellular, ONGC, Zee Entertain, Tata Steel and HPCL were losing on the NSE indices.
 In the commodities market, gold is up by Rs. 3 or 0.01 per cent to stand at Rs. 31,159 per 10 grams while Brent Crude is down by Rs. 11 or 0.25 to stand at Rs. 44,67 per bbl.
In the banking sector, HDFC Bank is losing 4.85 points or 0.24 per cent and stands at 2039.90. Axis Bank and SBI are on gaining terms, moving upwards by 11.65 points or 2.17 per cent and 4.55 points or 1.61 per cent, respectively.
