In the BSE Sensex, Bharti Airtel witnessed the highest gains with 2.45 per cent, followed by Vedanta Ltd (2.21 per cent), Yes Bank (1.93 per cent), ITC (1.71 per cent) and Adani Ports (1.39 per cent), while Kotak Mahindra Bank lost worth 3.69 per cent, followed by L&T, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Steel and Coal India with a loss of 2.61 per cent, 1.22 per cent, 0.98 per cent and 0.95 per cent, respectively, at the end of the day’s trading.
The NSE market saw Titan, Yes Bank and Vedanta Ltd end as the top three gainers rising by 2.93 per cent, 2.33 per cent and 2.21 per cent, respectively, whereas Hindalco, Kotak Mahindra Bank and L&T were the biggest losers.
The S&P BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices continued on its losing streak as they lost 95.41 points or 0.63 per cent and 157.44 points or 1.00 per cent, respectively, to close at 15,085.94 and 15,657.22, at the end of the trading session.
