G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant emphasised the importance of focussing on social outcomes, particularly in India's most populous states. He highlighted the need for improved education, nutrition, and healthcare to achieve a $30 trillion economy. Former Secretary of Labour & Employment Arti Ahuja stressed the critical role of inclusivity in development, noting that 50 percent of Indians should not be left behind.

The summit featured discussions on urban livelihoods, tech and gender biases, and the potential of technology for upskilling. Google organised panels on digital inclusion and AI for social transformation, while The/Nudge Institute launched reports on labour force participation and the impact of reading glasses on livelihoods.

Atul Satija, founder and CEO of The/Nudge Institute, said Charcha '24 served as a platform for collaboration and meaningful change. He emphasised the importance of joint dialogues and actions to create resilient livelihoods for all Indians.

The summit was co-hosted by various organisations, including ATE Chandra Foundation, The Bridgespan Group, British Asian Trust, H&M Foundation, and Tata Steel Foundation. Leaders from different sectors agreed on the need for "Viksit Gaon, Viksit Desh" – a prosperous nation built on thriving villages. They emphasised the importance of upskilling rural youth, scaling green entrepreneurship, and aligning social innovation with technology.
