The district administration has returned to the operation of its 24×7 operational Green War Room to properly implement its 21-point Winter Action Plan. This central command unit, established in the year 2020, aid the cooperation between many departments and preventive, rather than reactionary, air quality control.

In terms of public involvement, citizens can join the cause of fighting pollution by linking themselves with the war room through the ‘Green Delhi’ app. Nonetheless, the BJP’s city unit has expressed doubts about Delhi's management capacity. They point out that little is being done within Delhi and Punjab to abate the sources of pollution: burning of crops leftover from harvest and dust from building sites.
Anil Gupta, BJP spokes stressed the possibility that the Capital may experience the implementation of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in its most strict version owing to the reclined behavior of the Punjabis towards stubble burning. He also censured the Delhi administration for the negligence shown in regulating activities related to building works and clearing construction debris from the streets.
With the advent of winter months, the performance of Delhi’s Green War Room, and the measures adopted by both the government and the citizens will play a pivotal role in deciding the air quality in the city and the health of its residents.
