Microsoft backed G42, a UAE-based tech holding company is in talks with various tech companies to build artificial intelligence (AI) accessible for India's larger masses, said the company's India CEO Manu Kumar Jain, speaking on the 2nd day of India Mobile Congress held on October 16.

"As the prime minister has said on various occasions, we also believe that AI should be available to every Indian in their own mother tongue," Jain added.

In a move towards achieving this goal and making GenAI accessible, the company has recently launched NANDA, one of the world's biggest Hindi LLMs, Jain claimed.

Hindi language speakers can use NANDA for various use cases like banking, insurance, etc. They can also use it to build their own applications. The LLM is expected to be launched later this year.

G42 was chosen as the implementation partner to execute a February memorandum of understanding between India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and UAE's Ministry of Investment to drive bilateral investment to boost digital infrastructure.

Jain also stated that G42 has recently partnered with Microsoft and working with several tech companies to build one India's largest supercomputers with Exaflop Power
