Kunal Kamra Stretches Brawl with Bhavish Aggarwal, Calls Ola a “Public Issue”

The war of words between the two broke out earlier this month, when Kamra posted a picture of a large number of EV scooters at an Ola service center and flagged concerns with the company’s customer service

Comedian Kunal Kamra has called Ola’s electric vehicle (EV) concerns a “public issue” in a post on the social media platform X. The ongoing verbal battle between Kamra and the founder of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, has once again gathered netizens attention, as the comedian has now accused the company, which is publicly listed, of misleading people.

“Why is OLA a public issue? 1) The company is fooling the public 2) The company is subsidised by public money 3) The company is publicly listed,” said Kamra in a post on X on Monday.

The criticism from the comedian came just on the day when EV maker announced that 99 per cent of its customers’ complaints have been resolved. The company, in a statement, highlighted that out of the 10,644 consumer complaints flagged by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), 99.1 per cent of them have been addressed.

The war of words between the two broke out earlier this month, when Kamra posted a picture of a large number of EV scooters at an Ola service center and flagged concerns with the company’s customer service. Additionally, in the same post, he also tagged union road transport and highways minister Nitin Gadkari, pointing out what this is what India’s EV transition looks like.

“Do Indian consumers have a voice? Do they deserve this? Two wheelers are many daily wage workers lifeline...,” said Kamra in an earlier post.

Aggarwal called the tweet “paid” and while addressing Kamra’s accusations, he said that the company is expanding its service network and backlogs will be taken care of.

“Since you care so much, @kunalKamra88, come and help us out! I’ll even pay more than you earned for this paid tweet or from your failed comedy career. Or else sit quiet and let us focus on fixing the issues for the real customers,” said the Ola CEO.

Many customers of the company too voiced their concerns in the comment section.
