Apart from proceeds from the funding round, the founders of the companies will receive full-stack support from the Surge investment team and the operating team, including in areas like hiring, product, tech and marketing. Companies will also receive one-on-one mentorship from leading global founders.

“Founders also get hands-on mentoring, critical zero-to-one company-building support, and access to Peak XV and Surge’s large community of mission-driven founders and builders,” said the company in a press release.

The Peak XV’s Surge 10 programme includes companies from countries like India, Singapore, Philippines, China, UAE, Australia, the UK and the US. Amaani is the first company from the Middle East to be in Surge.

“Surge has played a key role in growing and nurturing India and Southeast Asia’s seed ecosystem and we’re now seeing incredible success from companies in the earlier cohorts that are on the path to building truly enduring companies,” said managing director of Peak XV and Surge Rajan Anandan.

Peak XV will start the Surge 10 programme from October 2024 and end by February 2025. It will offer mentorships in various ways, including company-building workshops, a global curriculum and support from a community of exceptional mentors and founders. The programme aims to supercharge early-stage startups and give founders an unfair advantage right from the beginning. Additionally, it will offer a US immersion experience, providing founders with exposure to the Silicon Valley ecosystem.
