Banks To Remain Closed For 11 Days In October

If you are delaying your bank work please do it right away. Because banks will remain closed for 11 days this month, thanks to the festive season.
The dates may differ from one bank to another and from one state to another. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) notification, October holiday list is inclusive of the second and fourth Saturdays, Sundays and they are exclusive of the public holidays in different states. Here’s a list of bank holidays in the month of October:

October 2: Banks are closed on October 2, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
October 6, 7 and 8: Apart from this, the banks will be closed for three days in a row. The first Sunday of the month falls on October 6 and Maha Navmi and Dussehra will be celebrated on October 7 and 8 respectively.
October 12 and 13: In the second week, on October 12 and 13, the bank will remain closed because of the second Saturday and Sunday.
October 20: In the third week, the banks will be closed on October 20 due to Sunday.
October 26 and 27: In the last ten days of October, the banks will remain closed for four days due to Diwali, fourth Saturday, Sunday, Govardhan Pooja and Bhai Dooj. The fourth Saturday is on October 26. This year, Diwali will be celebrated on Sunday, October 27.

October 28 and 29: After the last weekend, the banks will remain closed on October 28 and 29 due to Govardhan Pooja and Bhai Dooj.
