Spiritual and astrology tech start-up, Astrotalk has launched its “Bring Women back to Workforce” initiative. The programme aims to assist new mothers in rejoining the workforce, providing the means to restart their careers and financially empower them.
Under this initiative, the company will extend its support to mothers aged 30-45 through free of cost training in Tarot and Astrological Sciences.
Upon the completion of training and professional assessment, the company will hire these women full-time at a starting package of Rs 5 Lakhs per annum. The training for the first batch of 500 women is already underway, and the company aims to train 5000 women by the end of 2024.
Astrotalk will conduct this training programme for free, bearing the complete cost for mothers. Women between the ages of 30-45 years and 12th pass/graduates are eligible for the programme.

Commenting on the initiative, Puneet Gupta, founder and CEO of Astrotalk, said,” With this initiative, we want to financially empower women while simultaneously helping them balance work and home responsibilities.”
Last month, Astrotalk raised a $20 million Series A from Left Lane Capital, a New York-based venture capital firm that invests in high-growth consumer and internet technology companies. In FY23, it reported a revenue of Rs 282 crore with a profit of Rs 27 crore, which was almost 4 times higher than the previous year.
The company reports an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of around Rs 800 crore for the fiscal year 2023-24, with over 100 percent year-on-year revenue growth in the past three years.

Per an Inc42 report, the Indian religious and spiritual market attained a worth of $58.56 billion in 2023 and is forecasted to advance at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 10 percent from 2024 to 2032. This projection indicates a potential market expansion to nearly $150 billion within less than a decade.
