Bharti Airtel plans to hire twice as many students on campus from tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 universities this year, highlighting the industry's promising future.
The New Delhi-based corporation is also increasing its target campus count for this fiscal year by double, according to an Economic Times report.
700 campus hires are anticipated, and they will be made using a combination of final placements and PPOs (pre-placement offers), which are made after young professionals from campuses complete their internship programs. This occurs at a time when startups and IT firms, which are frequently sought after on campuses, are reluctant to hire new employees due to a capital shortage and an unfavorable global business climate.

Airtel is visiting Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Banasthali Vidyapith (Rajasthan), NMIMS Bengaluru, and Goa Institute of Management, among the new colleges from where it will hire.
Airtel Business Launchpad, Nxtra by Airtel, and Business Solution Group are the three campus programs that were introduced this year.

The telecom company will still make campus visits to venerable institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Management, XLRI, MDI, National Institutes of Technology, SIBM-Bangalore, FORE, Christ University, the NorthCap University, and Amity University, among others.
New employees who join directly after their academic courses end on their campuses, are given positions such as product managers, area managers, territory sales managers, key account managers, software developers, network engineers, solution architects, and NOC engineers.
