Air India and Vistara are offering waivers to passengers who are scheduled to travel from Delhi Airport between September 7 and September 11 in view of the G20 summit happening in the nation’s capital. In a statement, Vistara said that they have made some adjustments to their flight operations to and from Delhi. While the airline has cancelled selected flights, others have been rescheduled.
According to a media report by Mint, in a post shared on X, Air India wrote, "There will be travel restrictions in Delhi between 7th and 11th September 2023. As a measure of goodwill, passengers holding confirmed ticket to fly to or from Delhi on these dates are being offered a one-time waiver of applicable charges, if they wish to change their date of travel or their flight. Only the fare difference for the rescheduled flight, if any, would be applicable."

The elaborate regulations on vehicular movement planned by the Delhi Traffic Police are expected to impact approach routes to the IGI Airport.
Vistara customers are suggested to check the Vistrara website for their flight status in advance to avoid any inconvenience. They have been offered a waiver of the change fee for one-time rescheduling for bookings on the aforementioned dates. The company is also assisting the impacted customers with rescheduling or refunds, as applicable.
"We have cancelled selected flights while some others have been rescheduled," Vistara said in a post on platform X on Tuesday. The airline said that it was offering a waiver of the change fee for one-time rescheduling for bookings on these dates.

In a post on X, SpiceJet said the G20 Summit in Delhi may cause road closures and diversions, leading to longer travel times than usual.
"All passengers are requested to ensure a timely arrival at the airport for their SpiceJet flight. Check-in counters close 60 minutes prior to departure," it added.
The G20 Summit will be held on September 9 and 10.
Earlier, Delhi Airport operator DIAL said it is working with different government departments, including the home ministry, to provide necessary support for the facilitation of guests coming for the G20 Summit, which is scheduled to be held in the national capital on September 9 and 10.
A DIAL spokesperson said it has also formed a team of senior officials who will monitor G20 arrival and departure operations to ensure the best experience for the arriving delegates.
Besides, it is working with different government departments like the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and the Delhi government to provide necessary support for guest facilitation.
The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the national capital is operated by the Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), a consortium led by the GMR Group.
