Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), India’s only International Financial Services Centre (IFSC), has collaborated with TiE, Inc. (TiE), a global non-profit network and organization, and signed a MoU on Tuesday.
The aim of the partnership is to drive economic growth and provide employment opportunities. A cooperative framework between GIFTCL and TiE will be formed in accordance with the MoU in order to support innovation, draw in investments, and provide GIFT City with a climate that is conducive to business growth in India.
Additionally, a joint working committee will be formed as part of the MoU with representatives from GIFTCL and TiE to oversee collaboration activities. The aim of the committee is to discuss progress, address challenges, and explore new opportunities. An annual entrepreneurship summit will also be hosted at GIFT City, involving the larger TiE network.

Amit Gupta, Chairman, Board of Trustees, TiE Global, and Group CEO, Ecosystm Group, mentioned that the MoU “will serve as a catalyst for capacity building to create jobs, drive economic growth, and shape innovation to transform and uplift societies and economies.”
The MoU outlines several areas of cooperation, including promoting GIFT City as the top choice for TiE members and portfolio companies, offering regulatory guidance and advisory services, aiding in securing necessary approvals, licenses, and space allocation, and granting access to GIFT City’s state-of-the-art infrastructure.

Moreover, TiE and its chapters will help connect GIFT City with its global network of entrepreneurs and industry leaders, provide advice on improving the start-up ecosystem, and co-organize knowledge-sharing sessions, networking events, and boot camps.
