Microsoft Systems Crash Sparks Disruption Across Global Networks; Banks, Airlines, Media Houses Hit

IT corporation Microsoft’s cloud outrage had delayed flights in the Central US region. The company said that the issue has been resolved now.

On Thursday evening, Frontier Airlines reportedly announced that it was working to return to normal operations and that the ground stop had been lifted. However, the issue isn’t confined only to the USA. Other countries, such as Australia and India, are also affected by the crisis. 

In Australia, banks, media outlets, and major airlines have been affected. Meanwhile, Microsoft posted on X, “We're investigating an issue impacting users ability to access various Microsoft 365 apps and services.”

The company further added, “We're working on rerouting the impacted traffic to alternate systems to alleviate the impact in a more expedient fashion.” 

Additionally, several users have complained that their system is not working with a blue screen visible on the screen. The blue screen says, “It looks like Windows hasn't loaded correctly.” 

Amid the ongoing crisis, citizens have taken to humor to comment on the situation. Many have even said that their weekend started early with Microsoft not working. A user posted on X, “Windows blue screen issue, and me being a corporate employee in front of my manager, be like, I wanted to finish the task you assigned.”

Another user posted, “Global IT outage hits Microsoft systems. Suggest waiting until the incident clears, looking for anything suspicious, installing security updates, and running antivirus updates and scans.” Every crisis on any platform leads to a halt for airlines, banks, and workers, reflecting the interconnectedness of the world in the era of globalization and technology.
