Prosus and Naspers Group, a global investment group, has appointed Fabricio Bloisi as the new CEO of the company. Prior to this, Bloisi was the CEO of iFood.
In September 2023, Bob van Dijk stepped down as the company's CEO. Dijk's departure came after spending ten years with the company. Following this, Ervin Tu, currently the chief investment officer of the group, was made interim CEO. Tu will continue to be with Prosus as the president and chief investment officer (CIO). Speaking about the announcement, Tu said, “We’re in the midst of a fascinating time of change in the technology industry. There are many opportunities ahead, and I couldn’t be more excited to work alongside Fabricio on this journey.”

Talking about his announcement, Bloisi said, “It is an honor to be given the opportunity to lead Prosus and Naspers during a very exciting period of innovation and change within the technology space. I am proud that we have grown iFood into one of the largest and most successful brands in Latin America. This was driven by a passionate team balancing innovation with disciplined investment while acting fast and empowering our great people. That combination is in my DNA, and I will bring it to my new role as Prosus and Naspers CEO.”
Fabricio Bloisi is the founder of local Brazilian firm Movile and the CEO of iFood, a food delivery company in Latin America. When he acquired iFood, it was a twenty-member start-up. Today, it has over 5,000 employees and serves over 96 million orders per month, as per a company statement.

The group has made investments in several Indian companies, including PayU, Swiggy, Urban Company, Meesho, and Pharmeasy. They have also invested in several early-stage start-ups. As of 2021, the company had invested around $10 million in Indian start-ups.
