The Quality Council of India (QCI) and Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) have collaborated to enhance awareness and participation in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Competitive Lean Scheme (MCLS) of the Ministry of MSME among the members of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), typically MSMEs.

The MoU outlines a roadmap for collaborative initiatives, including awareness programs, camps, and consultations at state and district levels, to facilitate the adoption of lean principles and sustainable practices under the scheme among the LUB members. To ensure smooth implementation, a designated nodal officer from each organization will act as a single point of contact for all MCLS-related matters.

In this collaboration, NABET being one of the Implementing Agency for MCLS, will encourage LUB members to register for the scheme and will provide necessary support in the matter. It will also assist LUB members in their progression in the Lean Journey from Lean Basic to Lean Intermediate and finally to achieve the Lean Advance level.

Jaxay Shah, chairperson of QCI stated, "This partnership signifies a significant step towards fostering operational excellence and sustainability among MSMEs, paving the way for enhanced competitiveness and growth in the global market. Schemes like MSME Competitive Lean Scheme and ZED help businesses improve efficiency, reduce waste, and boost profitability.”

Emphasizing the role of NABET in creating awareness and providing support to LUB members, Prof. (Dr.) Varinder Kanwar, CEO of NABET, stated, "Our focus is on enabling MSMEs to adopt Lean methodologies effectively, driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing competitiveness through the MSME Competitive Lean Scheme.
