Algorand Strengthens Web3 Commitment With Key Partnerships: T-Hub, NASSCOM, And TiE Bangalore

AlgoBharat, Algorand Foundation's initiative focused on India, reaffirms its dedication to the Indian Web3 ecosystem with significant announcements made during the Algorand Impact Summit. This two-day event brought together business leaders, policymakers, NGOs, and developers to explore how blockchain can address some of the world's most challenging issues. 

The firm said in a statement that these partnerships align with Algorand's overarching vision to provide broader access to markets, capital, and financial services by harnessing the potential of blockchain technology. This is particularly aimed at benefiting underserved segments of society with limited access to traditional banking infrastructure, it added.

Globally, the Algorand Foundation has revealed a collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to launch a blockchain academy. This initiative aims to enhance the expertise of UNDP staff in blockchain technology and its practical applications for sustainable development.  

Set to launch in 2024, the Algorand Blockchain Academy will focus on key areas such as financial inclusion, supply chain transparency, real-world asset tokenisation, and digital identity. The comprehensive curriculum, comprising recorded lectures, interactive workshops, and hands-on assignments, will be accessible to over 22,000 UNDP employees across 170+ countries and territories, as well as staff members at other UN agencies.
