Mumbai-based Funngro, a platform that claims to offer teenagers an opportunity to earn money through real-life freelancing projects, has raised Rs 50 lakh in exchange for more than four per cent of equity in a pre-seed round during the recent Shark Tank India reality show.
Amit Jain, co-founder of CarDekho group and Namita Thapar from Emcure Pharmaceuticals invested Rs 25 lakh each into the start-up.
Founded by Payal Jain and Anik Jain, Funngro aims to teach economic empowerment to teenagers through paid freelancing projects. Gaining this knowledge at an early stage will prepare them to face the work environment in the future, while finding their true passion.
