Delhi-based gaming ed-tech start-up has raised $1.5 million from Vani Kola's Kalaari Capital in seed funding. Founded by Mayank Grover Outscal is an ed-tech company, helping people to excel in game development and web3 careers by mentorship and placement assistance.
Grover is a Carnegie Mellon University alum and have worked in companies like EA, DeNA, Kixeye, D.E.Shaw, Junglee. With over a decade long experience in building games, Mayank started Outscal in 2018 with an aim of bridging the gap between college education and industry expectation.
"They are building an upskilling platform for Gaming and Web 3.0, helping professionals and students land jobs in global gaming companies and start their own ventures! With over 250+ students enrolled and 100+ game-development studios as hiring partners, Outscal is enabling many new careers in the gaming industry," Vani Kola, Managing Director at Kalaari wrote in a linkedin post.

Outscasl has tied up with gaming studios in India, including PTW, GSN Games, and start-ups like nCore Games, LILA Games, Playshifu, among others.
The start-up's Game Academy has two core products—one for companies or studios looking to hire talent and the second for learners and professionals.
