Knocksense, a hyperlocal content production platform, announced that it has secured an investment from Nitish Mittersain, founder and managing director of Nazara Technologies as part of its pre-Series A funding round.

The company is currently raising $1 million as part of its Pre-Series A round, with participation from We Founders Circle, Lets Venture, Mumbai Angels Network and Imperial Holdings.

Knocksense is currently present in four cities in India namely Lucknow, Kanpur, Indore and Ahmedabad.

"I am excited to be investing in Knocksense, a platform that offers an irresistible mix of hyperlocal content, events and commerce for both young users and local brands of Tier II/III India. With traditional media networks losing ground among youngsters by the day, the need for a hyperlocal content-commerce platform exists and Knocksense is perfectly poised to capitalise on that," said Nitish Mittersain.
