After the massive success of season one, Shark Tank India is all set to fund entrepreneurs in the country with a second season. Sony Entertainment Television released a 45-second promo for season two featuring five old sharks: Aman Gupta (co-founder and CMO of boAt), Anupam Mittal (Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com), Namita Thapar (Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (Co-Founder and CEO of Sugar Cosmetics) and Peyush Bansal (Founder and CEO of Lenskart.com).
Amit Jain, CEO, and co-founder of CarDekho group, will join as the new shark. Jain shared a clip of the promo on his Linkedin account expressing his interest to mentor entrepreneurs in the upcoming season.

Ashneer Grover, managing director of fintech company BharatPe, will miss out on the second season along with mamaearth founder Ghazal Alagh. Rannvijay Singh, the host of the first season, will also be replaced by popular stand-up comedian Rahul Dua.
Grover had become infamous for his crude remarks and irritated responses to a few entrepreneurs in season one. The fintech leader was caught up in multiple controversies besides this. Madhuri Jain Grover, wife of Ashneer Grover and the former head of controls at BharatPe, was accused of allegedly misappropriating company funds for foreign tours and a lavish personal lifestyle. Along with his wife, Ashneer Grover had to vacate all his positions at BharatPe.

It now remains to be seen whether the show can rake up the same amount of popularity in the absence of a popular shark like Grover. Sony Entertainment Television has not yet confirmed the broadcasting date of the show.
