Cooking gas price: In a major reduction in couple of years, the prices of CNG and piped cooking gas (PNG) have been slashed in several parts of the country. With this announcement, the prices of both commodities have been cut by up to Rs 6 in Delhi NCR.
According to official updates, the prices of CNG and piped cooking gas have been slashed by providers as the central government changed the pricing formula of natural gas. The move now makes CNG, PNG cheaper for people as several places have already rolled out the revised prices.
As per Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), after this price cut, the revised retail price for CNG in Delhi would be Rs 73.59 per kg, down from Rs 79.56. Similarly, the revised retail price of CNG in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad would be Rs 77.20 per kg.

It must be noted that IGL has also announced a cut in CNG prices for several other places via an official tweet. These include Rewari, Karnal, Fatehpur, Meerut, Ajmer and so on. One can also refer to the official tweets below.
The reduction in CNG and PNG prices come as a much needed relief for the consumers as the constant hike in prices, over the last couple of months, made everyone’s pockets bleed. Lately, these prices also increased due to the geopolitical tensions and the Russia-Ukraine war.
