Gautam Adani the Chairman of Multinational Conglomerate Adani Group has announced his retirement plans. The business tycoon is currently 62-year-old and intends to step down at 70. He would hand over his $213 billion empire to his sons and nephews.
Karan Adani: Know About the Business Tycoon's Elder Son
37-year-old Karan Adani is the elder son of Gautam and Priti Adani. He is an economics graduate from Purdue University, USA. Karan is currently the Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ). He also manages the Ambuja Cements and ACC Cement business of the conglomerate.
As per the group’s website, “He is technologically savvy with a global outlook. He has successfully steered the growth strategy of APSEz resulting in its rapid expansion from two ports to a string of ten ports and terminals.”

He is married to Paridhi Shroff, daughter of Cyril Shroff. Karan Adani’s father-in-law is an Indian corporate lawyer and managing partner of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Paridhi Adani is a law-graduate from Government Law College in Mumbai. Currently, she is the head of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas’s Gujarat office.
Rising Through the Ranks: Jeet Adani's Role in the Adani Group
27-year-old Jeet Adani is an engineering and applied science graduate from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2019, he joined the CFO’s office of the Adani Group. He looks at Strategic Finance, Capital Markets, and Risk & Governance Policy.
Currently, he is the director of Adani Airports. The Adani group website describes him as, “Jeet is also spearheading the Adani Airports Business as well as the Adani Digital Labs- which is all set to build a super app to cater to all the consumers of Adani Group Businesses.”

He is engaged to Diva Jaimin Shah. She is the daughter of Mumbai and Surat-based diamond trader Jaimin Shah.
