Highlights From The UP International Trade Show

More than 2,000 exhibitors will showcase their products at the event

The UP International Trade Show began on 21 September and is slated to go on till the 25th of this month. The five-day event was inaugurated by UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and President of India Droupadi Murmu. The trade event is being held at the Knowledge Park in Greater Noida.

According to officials, more than 2,000 exhibitors will showcase their extensive range of products to people from businesses in India and abroad. Moreover, the state government has claimed that the event will attract close to 5 lakh people.

The event can be attended between 11 AM to 3 PM for business dealings. It will be open for the general public between 3 PM to 8 PM.

President's Inauguration Day Speech

Addressing the crowd gathered at the event on President Murmu said, “No such event has happened in the past and it is for the first time in six or seven years that a trade fair is being held on the international level. The state’s economic growth has improved in seven years and with the trade fair being organised, it will further improve the economic growth and the state will be the fastest growing in the country.”

She further said, “It is a matter of great pride that buyers from across the world will be visiting the trade fair organised in Uttar Pradesh and it is hoped that the event will be very successful.”

She commended the governor Anandiben Patel, chief minister Yogi Adityanath, and industrial development minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi along with the local MPs and MLAs for organizing such a large-scale event.

Focus Sectors

Some of the key factors and areas of focus at this event are Agriculture & horticulture, airports, renewable energy & EV, fisheries & animal husbandry, food processing / dairy Products and e – commerce, and electronics industry. Apart from these areas the UP government is also looking to give a boost to sectors like GI tag products from Uttar Pradesh, leather industry, infra, engineering & manufacturing industry, IT & Smart City Mission, glass industry, marble industry, handloom, handicrafts & textiles, among many others.

The event will also make an attempt at displaying UP state's unique arts, crafts, and culture. This will be established through stalls by artisans, sellers, and makers of art from different regions of UP. Art and craft stalls are turning out to be crowd pullers as they're attracting local people in big numbers at the event.

The event will also have a host of cultural performances, on a daily basis. The performances will be distinctive of Uttar Pradesh's many cultures and arts.

Moreover, women entrepreneurs and small salespersons have also been given space to set up stalls.
