A 'premium subscription service', Twitter Blue, will now be made available for users in India. The monthly subscription fee for iOS users and Android users in India will be capped at Rs 900 while the fee has been kept lower at Rs 650 monthly on the web version.
In addition to this, users will also be able to subscribe to the premium service for an annual fee of Rs 6,800, which will come at an approximate cost of Rs 566 monthly. However, this will only be available on the web version.
So far, Twitter's premium subscription was available only in select countries such as US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the UK, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Indonesia, and Brazil.

Twitter Blue claims and promises fewer ads, longer posts, and early access to upcoming features.
The micro-blogging website also assures tweets from verified users will be prioritised to "fight scams and spams," pointing that tweets by Twitter Blue members will be given priority.
Not just that, users who avail this service will also be able to edit their tweets in the 30 minutes window given by tagging someone or make updates.
