Instagram Down For Some Users Globally, Glitch Spotted In Stories And Reels

Users are also facing problem in accessing feed, viewing and posting content

Instagram, the Meta owned photo sharing app is down for some users globally. As per the reports by Downdetector, the outage began around early hours of Thursday morning. As many as 780 users have reported about facing the glitches in Reels and Stories on the platform.

Instagram is an online photo-sharing and social networking service that lets users take pictures, apply filters to them and share those pictures in several ways. 

The reason behind the glitch is not known yet. The glitch is faced globally as many people have even spotted the issue in India with stories and reels not getting uploaded, or some getting uploaded with just the text, with the missing picture.

Reportedly, users are also facing problem in accessing feed, viewing and posting content. Some are unable to log in to thier account, while others are seeing zero views on their latest Reels. The Meta-owned platform faced a similar issue in March this year. 

Many Instagram users took to microblogging platform Twitter to raise the issue. Twitter got flooded with memes poking fun at the Insta stories to the unknown reason behind the glitch, there were many funny reactions on Twitter. “Instagram down for anybody else? I can't see anybody's story and I can't see my story views", a tweeted user wrote.

Some of the users even poked fun at how people would be running back to Twitter to confirm that their Instagram is down. “People rushing to Twitter to check if Instagram is down or not”, a twitterati wrote.
