IPL 2023: Viacom18 Ropes In 13 Streaming Sponsors, Says Report 

While Viacom18 is busy organising the IPL 2023 screening via the JioCinema app, it has also reportedly roped in multiple other spot buyers

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is about to commence from March 31, 2023. As preparations continue, even Viacom18, the company with digital rights of streaming IPL 2023, has also reportedly signed about 13 sponsors.

According to a report in the Economic Times, Viacom18 has roped in these 13 sponsors for solely for streaming all matches of IPL 2023. Some of these sponsors include the veteran associate Dream11, Parle, TVS, Puma, ITC, Pepsi and so on. Besides this, the report adds that Viacom18 has also managed sponsorships with brands from various spaces, including e-commerce, four-wheelers and so on. 

As per the report, while Viacom18 is busy organising the game’s screening via JioCinema app, it has also roped in multiple other spot buyers. Hence, during IPL’s live streaming close to 500 brands are reportedly expected to advertise.

“These ad deals are 1.5-1.6 times the ad revenue earned by Disney+ Hotstar from IPL last year,” ET quoted a source as saying. At present, the sponsorship and ad deals closed by Viacom18 reportedly amount to almost Rs 2,700 crore. 

IPL 2023, the beautiful game that will begin with Chennai Super Kings going up against last-time champions Gujarat Titans (CSK vs GT), is expected to be lavish affair. This time, since the Women’s Premier League (WPL) has also started in the debut edition, the IPL 2023 is being held after the game. Additionally, similar to the hype surrounding IPL 2023, even the auctions of players garnered a lot of eyeballs.
