Radha Soami Satsang Beas nominates Jasdeep Singh Gill as New Head

Jasdeep Singh Gill has been nominated as the new spiritual head of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) on September 2. Gill will take over the charge from Gurinder Singh Dhillon, who was serving as the Sant Guru of RSSB.  

“Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon has nominated Jasdeep Singh Gill, son of Sukhdev Singh Gill, as patron of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Society with immediate effect from September 2, 2024,” said the Sikri. Sikri is an official communication made by RSSB.  

The announcement was confirmed by RSSB secretary Devender Kumar Sikri. Once Gill acquires the position, he will have the spiritual authority to give initiation (naam).

“Babaji has expressed that, like he has received full support and love of the sangat after huzoor Maharaj ji, he has wished and requested that the same love and affection be given to Jasdeep Singh Gill in carrying out his sewa as patron as well as sant Satguru,” said the Sikri.  

Who is Jasdeep Singh Gill?  

He is an undergraduate in biochemical engineering and biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, and holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Gill has also done Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Apart from having a solid educational background, Gill is a big name in the Indian pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. He has held many key positions in the industry, including his current position as chief strategy officer at Cipla Limited. Cipla Ltd. is a Mumbai-headquartered, Indian multinational pharmaceutical company. 

What is Radha Soami Satsang Beas?  

Radha Soami Satsang Beas was established in 1891 in India as a religious organisation. Its presence isn’t just limited to India. “RSSB holds meetings in more than 90 countries worldwide,” said the official website of RSSB.  

The organisation’s core principles revolve around the concept of service and is run under the guidance of a living spiritual teacher.
