Jio's 5G services are finally available for Indian users with iPhones. With the latest iOS 16.2 update in iPhone 12 and other compatible models, customers are now able to access Reliance Jio's 5G services. The 5G compatible models include iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone SE 3, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

As per latest updated from iPhone users, many have started receiving messages from the business to update their devices in order to use the 5G services. "Your iPhone is Jio True 5G ready. Upgrade to the latest software now," the notification says.

As per some media reports, this iOS 16.2 software update will not turn the non-5G iPhone into a 5G smartphone but will bring a number of additional improvements to access the services.

"Your iPhone will require a software upgrade, which will directly get pushed to your device from Apple. Please ensure you install iOS 16.2 or later to make your phone 5G-ready," PTI quoted its source, as saying.

After installing the update, users must choose 5G Auto or "switch on 5G Standalone" from the settings menu under mobile data.

"Jio Welcome Offer will be provided to the subscriber automatically as soon as his location has Jio True 5G. We will communicate to the subscriber once he has been provided the Jio Welcome Offer," PTI quoted its source, as saying.

Apple started its journey with 5G services in India in the first week of November by releasing an update to its beta software platforms. To some users, Apple also started distributing the iOS 16 Beta Software Program. The idea was also to get feedback from users before the final launch.

Both Airtel and Jio released their 5G services last month. However, many Indian users were unable to use them on their compatible handsets, including iPhones.

Reliance has also confirmed that Jio's 5G network is operational in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Nathdwara.
