Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that Madhya Pradesh has emerged as an ideal investment destination before calling on investors from around the world to become partners in the progress and growth of the central Indian state. The Union Minister for Commerce and Industry said this while virtually addressing the Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit being held in Indore.
Goyal listed out sufficient land, infrastructure, skilled resources and several attractive opportunities in agriculture, food processing, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, tourism, textiles and renewable energy as reasons to invest in the state.
The Union Minister was optimistic that Madhya Pradesh can work upon the central government’s Green Hydrogen Mission to bring investments in the wider renewable energy sector.

While appreciating the strides made by Madhya Pradesh in governance practices, the minister highlighted that it is the ‘double engine’ approach that is helping to bring about rapid transformation in the state. He also noted that the state’s Gross State Domestic Product grew by nearly 20 per cent last year.
The Global Investors’ Summit (GIS) is taking place in Indore on 11, 12 January and it is expected to bring in multiple investments into the state across several sectors. While inaugurating the GIS, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the summit will act as a key milestone in the state’s journey towards becoming a $550 billion economy.
