From Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, leaders from different political parties, have wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 74th birthday, on Tuesday. This will mark his 11th birthday in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). 

Modi, who in the past has celebrated his birthday by launching some schemes, has no different plans as he turns 74. He will visit Odisha and inaugurate welfare schemes, including ‘Subhadra Yojana’. The scheme will provide financial assistance worth Rs 10,000 to nearly 1 crore poor women, annually. Moreover, he is likely to launch 26 lakh PM Awas houses at Gadakana in Bhubaneswar.

What is His Net Worth? 

PM Modi, a self-proclaimed ascetic, has a net worth of nearly 3 crores, according to the 2024 general election affidavit submitted to the Election Commission of India. Nearly Rs 2.85 crore of his income is in the form of fixed deposits with the State Bank of India (SBI). He has national savings certificates worth Rs 9.12 lakh. 

Apart from a sum of around Rs 52,000 in cash, Modi owns four gold rings worth Rs 2,67,750. He owns no motor vehicle, according to the same affidavit. 

A resident of PM House at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg for more than a decade now, Modi has no residential or commercial properties owned by him.

After serving as the chief minister of Gujarat for three consecutive terms, in 2014, he climbed the political ladder, bidding adieu to his role as Gujarat CM and marking his entry in the national politics as the Prime Minister of India. In 2024, he began his third consecutive term as PM.
