Ranveer Allahbadia's YouTube Channels Hacked: Is it a PR Stunt? Here's What The YouTuber Said

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, known by his popular channel name BeerBiceps, has fallen victim to a cyberattack that led to hackers gaining control of both his prominent YouTube channels.

The hackers changed the name of BeerBiceps to “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024” and his personal channel to “@Tesla.event.trump_2024.”

The majority of his interviews and podcasts were deleted by the hackers and replaced with old streams from events featuring Elon Musk and Donald Trump. In response, YouTube took down the hacked channels, displaying, “This page isn’t available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else.”

Ranveer Allahbadia’s Response

Following the incident, Allahbadia, who initially mentioned being in Singapore, clarified that he is back in Mumbai. He has not issued an official statement about the hack. However, the YouTuber indirectly addressed the issue through his Instagram. He posted a picture of a meal and wrote "Celebrating my two main channels being hacked with my favourite food. Vegan burgers. Death of BeerBiceps met with Death of diet."

In another story, he shared a picture with an eyemask and wrote, “Is this the end of my YouTube career? Was nice knowing you all.”

Allahbadia started his content creation journey at the age of 22 with the launch of BeerBiceps, and he has since grown his digital career with seven YouTube channels with over 12 million subscribers. He has hosted a wide range of prominent figures on his podcast “The Ranveer Show.” His content has earned him several accolades including the Warrior of Change Award by the Maharashtra government in 2021 and the Best YouTube Content of India Award (2023).

However, it remains clear if Allahbadia has been able to recover his channels.

Not a PR Stunt, Says Viraj Sheth

In the latest Instagram story, the YouTuber wrote, “No jokes, No PR. Working on next steps. Just feeling calm right now. Life always shows you the next doorway.”

Viraj Sheth, co-founder of Monk Entertainment owned by Ranveer Allahbadia has declined the claims being made by people who calling it a PR stunt. In a post on microblogging platform X, Sheth said.”

“Unfortunately, some people believe the channel hack is a PR stunt because we are not panicking. To put it on record, this is not a PR stunt. Both channels were hacked last night around 1130PM IST. We are calm because we have full faith in the YouTube team to help us retrieve the channels as they were before the hack.”

In another post, Sheth wrote,” Have full faith in YouTube to help us retrieve the hacked channel. Most hands-on team I’ve worked with.” He also posted an image showing the YouTube channel renamed to Tesla. “Guess we are now selling Tesla cars and endorsing Trump for the time being,” he added.
