Reliance Jio users across India experienced network outage on Tuesday. The users of the country’s largest telecom giant complained about issues with the internet and call services.
According to a connectivity intelligence, the Down Detector, out of total complaints received by it, nearly 65 per cent users complained about signal issues and 19 per cent and 16 per cent, were regarding mobile internet and JioFiber, respectively, as of 1:38 pm on September 17, 2024.
As per the down detector, other telecom service operators like Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL have been functioning normally.
The users of Jio took to the social media platform X to flag issues faced them. “Writing to inform you that there is currently an outage affecting both Fiber and Jio SIM in Mumbai. Outage has been ongoing for over an hour, & am reaching out to inquire if anyone has begun working to resolve the issue,” said a user in a post. While another highlighted the issues faced by users in accessing Jio app, “Jio appears to be facing an outage. Even their recharge systems/portals are down.”

“What is wrong with Jio services today? Your app is down, website is not working, JioTV+ is also down and Airfiber Wifi is also down?”
The issues faced by the customers come just a few months after the telecom giants Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea raised tariffs substantially.
