Twitter layoffs are back again, this time, reportedly affecting the workers in the product team. As per latest reports, the Elon Musk-led company is planning to sack around 50 employees in the coming weeks.

According to a report in Insider, billionaire Elon Musk’s decision to lay off more employees from the product team comes only six weeks after he allegedly told employees that there would be no more Twitter layoffs. However, with this latest update of layoffs at Twitter, the report adds that the company may now operate with less than 2,000 people.

Of late, Twitter has also been struggling to make ends meet, as per several media reports. As of Wednesday, some reports mentioned that Elon Musk was auctioning the equipment and things at Twitter’s office(s) to pay rent!

As per another media report, a top ad executive mentioned that Twitter’s revenue for the fourth quarter also dropped by around 33 per cent. All this comes weeks after the Elon Musk-led company brought whopping changes to the platform, with mostly new things rolling in and out on a daily basis.

Over the last couple of months, Twitter layoffs have been one of the most recurring set of mass layoffs in the industry. From what started with Elon Musk laying off almost 50 per cent of the global workforce, today, has come to a point where the company may be reportedly operating with less than 2,000 people.
