Union Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved Green Hydrogen Mission under which 50 lakh tonnes of green hydrogen will be produced per annum by 2030.
Under the mission approved by Union Cabinet, a green hydrogen hub will be developed to bring buyers and producers under one roof, Union Minister Anurag Thakur told reporters after the meeting. It was also informed that the mission will have an outlay of Rs 19,744 crore.
Incentives will be given for five years for manufacturing electrolysers in the country, Thakur added.
